Flagpoiling for close working permit on tourist status

Hi everyone I entered Canada as a tourist with ETA on May 1st, I am French citizen and I have valid LMIA-exempt job offer.
I only have two weeks left before my visitor status expires on October 27th and I am looking to flagpole at the border… do you guys recommend me to apply for visitor extension before flagpoiling or I am good to go as long as I have valid status ??? Can I be denied entry into Canada if I attempt flagpoiling ???

You can certainly try. EU citizens are rarely denied entry unless you are inadmissible. If they don't want to process your WP at POE, they will allow you in as visitor and ask to apply inland.

If you actually are inadmissible, you will be issued a TRP to enter Canada with a leave by date. Then you can make arrangements to leave. The absolute worst is you get detained and deported. Pretty rare and usually happens when you already have an immigration warrant.
