Prtd processing time and if can link to the original pr renew

Dear All
I applied for pr renew under humanitarian grounds and was asked for interview with time frame 180 days
Now because I am outside canada, I applied for prtd
I want to ask if both applications are linked
What is processing time for prtd
How to speed up the process to catch the interview for pr renew ?

Not linked. You will need to apply to get PRTD based on H&C if you do not meet RO which can have a very long processing time and is not guaranteed to be approved. Assume you have advised IRCC that you left Canada during your PR card renewal request. Do you have a US visa?

But actually the officer himself mention that I need to apply for prtd so I thought it is common that both application to be linked
Yes I have USA visa

Two separate applications. You have the option to fly to the US and enter Canada via land border as well. You can be reported at the border if you don’t meet RO but you will be allowed to enter if you are a PR.
