Reimport a Canadian car back from USA

Hi all, posting here since I don't have a lot of knowledge on this. Here is my situation. I am a Canadian citizen on a TN visa working in the states. I bought my car in Canada in BC. Imported it over to USA back in 2022. However, I realized that my parents would need the car I want to import the car back. I have a paid off Canadian car that got imported to the states. Do I have to go through the standard exporting procedure to get the car back ? Also I would want to get the car under my dad's name in Ontario. What are my options?

Better off contacting RIV but you will have to pay the $325 regardless at POE and they would very likely want the inspection completed as it's part of federal compliance. Ontario might want an out of province done before it can be registered. Good news is you already have daytime running lights, etc as your vehicle is from here so I highly doubt the whole thing would be that expensive.
