File stuck in Background check for military and police personnels

Hello alll im starting this new thread for applicants whose pr or visitor visa applications stuck in background check for being in military or police
my information is as follows i applied for my parents supervisa in 2015 they came to canada on off till 2024 on supervisa now supervisa expired and i applied for new visa and its been 60 days my file says they doing back check.Lets all get together whoz parents or applicants themselves were in military or police and file stuck due to background check
applied and approved supervisa in -may 2015
applied for parents pr - May 2019
medicals - october 2020
background check in progress- december 2020 and still in background check in process
supervisa expired- aug 2023
applied new visitor visa online - february 20 ,2024 Got email that your visitor visa status changed - february 21.2024
Status changed on Feb 21,2024-we are processing your background check we will msg you if we need more information

After that no update pindrop silence . i am ao frustrated with immigration policy that it takes 4 years to do background check i contacted my local mp multiple times all he says we cant do anything in background check its third party called CISR . lets all share our stories

My dad’s super visa is also in security from last 9 months

My husband’s sowp visa is stuck for 2.5 years. During this period IRCC asked for military documents twice (October 22, and October 23). He uploaded within the timeframe but since then pin drop silence. IRCC doesn’t even replies to webform. MP denied to help. GCMS notes were requested two times but no response. Now, we applied for PR where I’m the main applicant. I’m so frustrated seeing myself and other’s situation that I’m getting hopeless. Nothing works to make the process faster. I have been away from my family for 3 years and don’t know how many more years have to wait!

For my father’s super visa application, its going to be year in november.

For visitor application, its going to be 8 month. Nothing as of yet.

So frustrated, We should do something about it like joint request to mps.

Yes, I agree with you. We should do something together so that IRCC can’t play games with our files. They just can’t hold the files forever in the name of background check.

Are you a PR now in Canada? And if you are not a PR, that application is not a family class sponsorship application.
SOWP is not guaranteed for foreign students or temporary workers. Was he in military? Security and background check requires his home country's cooperation.

yes im canadian citizen and i even did mandmus the ircc lawyer said to judge same thing security is done by third party which ircc has no control and gave reference oh couple of cases that this case took 6 years to process coz of security this one took 8 years the worst one was 11 years so he said my file is only 5 years security is crucial part for canada security blah blah so its gonna take time and judge did nothing waste of money im telling you guys we should get together all stuck in security and do petition or something otherwise we have long wait ahead

OMG! This is insane! It's better to just reject the application then to make us wait for 11 years! And I was going crazy thinking that my 2 years of waiting is a lot. I am an EE-PNP applicant (outside Canada) with a military background. They should have a deadline for these kind of background checks, they can't just hold the application forever

yes wasted 3000 dollar on mandmus 0 outcome specially military and police personnel background they not completing just left people hanging with military background. government makes all policies what kind of stupid policy is that a third party will do background and government gave power to third party to take as much time they want what is person dies waiting for 11 years like is it some kind of joke it shoukd be time bound that they have to complete security in 6 months no matter what but here noone is there to
look over polices . my wife is canadian citizen by birth never went to india but indian consulate processed her oci application in 2 months including background and security checks gave her overseas citizenship in 2 months after applying and these canada guys cant ever give pr card for 10-10 years we shoukd all get together and do petition

You think a petition might help? Many people are in the same situation and as I've seen it's been like this forever. I even requested the CBSA notes since more then 1 year and I didn't receive it yet.
