Hi have question regarding this:

My in laws were in Canada in June 2022, we applied for extension in Dec 2022, they went back to home county on April 2, 2023 and we got letter to do Medical on April 5,2023. We didn’t do anything as they already left Canada at that time. Now recently they came back in Dec 2023, we applied for extension in June 2024. On July 4,2024, we got refusal letter stating that they haven’t done medical that we requested on April 5, 2023. Now my question is what documents we needed for restoration application. We just did upfront medical this week for both. Their return flight is in November 2024. Please can you tell me the list of supporting documents they needed?

Hi,
I'm facing the same situation as before with my mother's visa extension. Her extension application was refused. We had completed part of the medical exam, but just as we were about to finish the last part, we received the approval for the first extension. Now, as I was applying for a second extension, it was refused because of this.

My question is: should I contact them to resubmit the application, or should I proceed with a restoration application? Has anyone had success with a restoration after encountering a similar situation?

Hi
Can you please help me! I am in teh similar situation

If you have taken the medical exam, even if the results are not available yet. Just choose "yes"

And the medical exam form I used was the same one from before. They can use it even if its dated awhile back.

Has her first extension already expired? If so, you need to apply for restoration.

It was mandatory to fully complete the medical. This was a condition of the first extension approval.

My mother arrived in Canada in July 2023, and I extended her stay in December 2023. In the same month, I received a message regarding her medical exam, and two days later, I received a confirmation letter granting her an extension until December 4, 2024. In September 2024, I applied for a second extension. However, today, October 3, 2024, I received a refusal letter stating that her application was denied due to an incomplete medical exam. The letter also mentioned that today is the expiry date, and if my mother wants to stay, she must apply for restoration of status, which includes completing the medical exam.

I’m unsure of the chances of success with the restoration application and am wondering if there are other options beyond restoration. My mother completed her general check-up and blood work, but when it came time for the x-ray, I mistakenly assumed it wasn't needed after receiving the extension confirmation. I now realize that was my mistake. I'm seeking advice on the likelihood of success for the restoration application or whether there are any other alternatives, such as contacting IRCC for assistance.

If she wants to remain in Canada, completing the medical and applying for restoration is the only option. There aren't any other options. IRCC will not tell you the chances of restoration being successful. None of us here can tell you the chances either. IRCC will not give you advice on your situation unfortunately. If you are looking for advice, you would need to hire an immigration lawyer or consultant. Good luck.

Hi,

I am going to apply for a visitor visa extension for my mother in next week. She came in canada in June 2024.
As you have already received 1 approval in the past, i just wanted to know which financial support & other supporting documents have you submitted in the applicstion? And do you have to provide anydocuments to show back home ties in the visitor visa application?
