After studying a year. I applied for my work permit and submitted my application on May 10, 2024.

I am particularly concerned because several individuals who submitted their applications at the same time, including my twin brother, received their approvals within a month. In contrast, my application has now surpassed the typical processing time.

I have made numerous attempts to seek information about my application status. Unfortunately, when I call, the automated system states it cannot receive calls and disconnects. Additionally, I emailed question@cic.gc.ca but have not received any response. This delay is causing considerable anxiety and uncertainty, as my work plans are contingent upon the approval of this permit. I am reaching out in the hope that someone can provide guidance or assist in expediting my application.

Have you tried sending a case specific inquiry? There is really no way to expedite.

Emailing IRCC is not the right way to contact them for these types of matters. Use the case specific inquiry method.

For the call center, try calling at different times of the day. Unfortunately they have high volumes.

Please also do not post the same question over and over again. Post once and wait for a response.
