Hello everyone,

I need your opinion/help with this. My wife came to Canada under visitor visa while her Permenant Residency application was in progress. Her application is for family sponsorship is through me (I'm a Citizen). When she came to Canada her port of entry was Vancouver. The officer didn't stamp anything on her passport, which means she got 6 months to stay automatically. Just couple of days ago her extension to stay in Canada got extended till next year (6 more months) while she is in Canada, she had to do her medical for Permanent Residency which we got it done (in Canada). I checked the GC key tracker and she got her pre-arrival letter, and then the request letter. In the request letter they asked for her to send her (eye colour, height) but didn't ask for the passport submission because she was already in Canada. They said to use the IRCC Webform to send this information. So we sent it using the Webform. In this request letter it said the next step was the COPR (confirmation of Permanent Residency). We've been waiting for 3 months now. What should I do? Should I contact IRCC or just wait until we get the COPR? Please let me know.

Regards,
Sam

Hello. Do you happen to know if the "request letter that they asked for the PA information (eye colour, height) is P1"? If it was P1, I thought you had to reply to the email with the information that they asked you. I helped a couple of friends that got P1 a few weeks ago and all they did was reply to the email they sent. Hmm but since your wife applied outland but now in Canada, I don't know if that affects anything. You might want to call and ask IRCC.
