About sin number

My study permit as well as my sin number got expired on 30th September 2024.
I tried to renew my sin number with PGWP applied status and it is getting rejected (they said it can be only renewed by valid study or work permit ).
So what can do ????
Can i do job on my previous sin or do i just waut for my work permit to come?
