Military service update for permanent residence

Greetings everyone,

I received a communication this morning regarding my military service. They asked the following:

Please provide a certified copy of your military records. If you were exempted, please produce official proof from the competent military authority confirming the exemption. Please complete form IMM 5546 with all details regarding your military or police service, and simply indicate N/A in the table if you did not perform any military service. A military table can be found here:

Considering that I have never performed any military service in my country nor was I exempted from doing it (military service is not obligatory in my country), what document should I provide them apart from the completed IMM 5546 form?

I simply completed the IMM 5546 form and mentioned that I have no military service and also included an explanatory letter to explain my situation.

Sorry for asking, but have you filled all the fields with N/A or just the first line, also what about the signature, did you print and sign or just wrote your name?

Yes bro, they accepted it. I signed it electronically. Didn't have to print it but I don't think it differs if u sign it normally. I filled only one line with N/A but It is recommended to send the explanatory letter. I have also included a screenshot from my governments official website stating that we are not obliged to do a military service. If it's the case for you, it might help aswell.

I sent the document yesterday, so no response yet.
