TRV Application Delay and Urgent Travel Inquiry.

Hi,

I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) inside Canada after receiving my Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) approval on August 1st, 2024. It's been almost two months since my application, and I haven't received any updates aside from the submission confirmation.

Is anyone else in a similar situation, or does anyone know if this delay is normal? How long does the TRV approval process typically take?

Additionally, I need to travel to my home country urgently. Is it possible to get my TRV stamped outside Canada after applying from within? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
Also do I need to inform the IRCC if I intend to travel before getting TRV approval?

Current in-land processing time is 27 days so your application is past normal processing time. You should request status by submitting a webform.

It's not recommended to leave Canada without TRV as processing time could be longer from your home country and you will not be able to travel back without a TRV.
