My mother applied for Super Visa in April 2024 which got denied in June 2024 for an 11 month long stay. Grounds for refusal were

"The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application."

- Now that it has been about 6 months since she last applied , is it safe to reapply for a Super Visa now ?

- Are her chances of getting a tourist visa for a shorter stay better than getting a Super Visa?

Order GCMS notes before reapplying so you can address specific concerns.

Did get the GCMS notes. It contained the same information mentioned in the refusal letter. Nothing additional.

She would be adding additional information ( like Pension docs) and clarifications to the reason for travel to address concerns around weak ties to home country and unclear purpose of travel.

@canuck78 - Would it be safe to reapply for the super visa now?

If you have additional information I would apply again but if you get another refusal I would wait before applying again.

If only my mother plans to travel to Canada and my father stays back, would that be useful to show stronger ties to home country ?

@Copingwithlife and @canuck78 - Thank you so much for your guidance.

She is applying now for a date of entry into Canada in late January 2025. That should make it 11 months in her home country since she last left Canada.

Would that amount of time in the home country not suffice?
