I’ve paid the first semester tuition and do attend classes on regularly basis. I don’t miss classes. The new program at Ontario starts in January 2025. If that is the case then am ok. Because there are circulations the update that came restrict international students currently enrolled not to change school and have to complete their studies and apply for a new program with new study permit
When classes end in December change DLIs with LOA, PAL and proof of actively studying at BC school.

The government needs to step up in managing the international students. A lot of international students are not attending their classes, and would only show up during exams. Some do pass their exams but others don't. Then complain to high heavens why the DLIs failed them and that it is affecting their mental health as well as their chances for PGWP!

There should be a mechanism in place like requiring mandatory attendance check for international students.
That would be the logical thing to be doing .
But as we can see from the past , the people running the show aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer

Sad but true... The system has been abused by "entitled" international students... There's even this group of international students demanding immediate PR because their DLI failed them in their courses!

Not disagreeing. Canada is trying to now find a balance between attracting genuine students who will benefit the economy in the longterm and getting rid of the business of exploiting international student and international students exploiting Canada.

Libs have successfully managed to ruin Canadian's fondness of managed immigration. Never seen so much anti-immigration and hate for immigrants before
Let’s not ignore the provincial and municipal components. Provinces were allowing colleges to open satellite campuses everywhere, licenses many colleges in strip malls, etc. Cities ignored major issue like unsafe housing, exploitation in various forms, etc. Lots of blame to go around.

Wait till all the diploma intl students run out of status and all apply for asylum. Those numbers are gonna skyrocket next 2 years. Fed government will try to spread them around the provinces. Each refugee costs 4K a month btw to the government

Appears that IRCC is trying to anticipate this issue so I would expect some reforms to the asylum system.
