Hi!
I’m applying to PR through EE FSW Outland, french stream.
I have a degree in medicine but have never worked in the field. And never plan to.
Instead I have over 5 years of proven work history as an animation director. I’ve got page on imdb, festivals’ record etc.
I guess this change of my career path confused the officer.
Yesterday I got two additional requests in my profile on canada.ca:
  • First, “provide diploma equivalency from Medical Council of Canada”.
  • Second one, “provide details regarding compliance Education and Employment (NOC 51120)”
Could I skip the second diploma evaluation, as I have already evaluated me medical diploma through WES? I’m planning on writing a LOE explaining that I’m not planning to work in medicine.

Also how can I prove that I’m eligible to work as a director? On one hand I don’t have a degree in animation, only some courses. But on the other hand, I’ve got a provable career record. I could write a LOE describing that my first short film got Oscar-accredited and premiered at Berlinale and things like that. I mean, I could explain my life path in a more personal way. Would that be a right decision ?
