Hi there , im about to start applying to sponsor my wife who is living abroad .

I reside in quebec province .
I have a recently started to pay a child support ( i have daugther )

Court order is from may
But started to pay september ( because of delay and lawyera finalizing the thing )

I currently have a paper from quebec government that is saying im paying xxx amount every 2 week and with xxx in extra amount aswell taken to pay back accumulation since May .

According to what i have read , if i have agreement with government to pay this , including the extra amount im paying to catch back , i am not in Default.

So basicly , i think id be eligible to sponsor, considering the definition of default payment on canada forms .

I did not miss any payments since its started being deducted from my payrolls.
I did not refuse anything either.

Anyone who had similar concern could give me any feedback on this particular situation?

Id be very grateful .

Thx you

I believe that is correct. Quebec may have its own special circumstances, but I do believe once you have entered into a financial agreement, you've been discharged of the debt.
