Hello all, I’m a 24 year old college student, I’m looking to get a visitors visa to visit cousins of mine in Canada during the 3rd of October to the 13th, and I got my visa rejected, citing lack of family ties to my country, even though I provided multiple proof of my enrollment in my college, as well as means to pay for my own trip (with help from my parents, which I cited), I also provided proof of multiple trips I’ve taken to Canada back to when my country only required an eta, and also a Canadian visa I had back when my country required visas (for my country, Canada required visas, then took them down, then recently requested them again), I also submitted a month long upcoming trip to Spain I have on October 16th, which is the reason why I have to return. Is there any advice you guys can give my so that my next attempt can be more successful.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, have a wonderful day:)

How can you travel to Spain and Canada during school year as a college student?

Hello! Please I have a similar situation but I have yet to apply! I want to visit my friends in canada and i'm a 20 years old med school student. How did you show in your application that your parents will finance your trip?

How would they know or care that you're skipping classes for a vacation? Not all classes are mandatory. All's good if you're enrolled in uni.
Google exists. CBSA upon entry can also google. If claiming you will not remain in Canada because you are a full-time student then skipping class to go on vacation not great evidence.

I guess it's the reason why you visit your cousin. Why you have to visit your cousin instead of go to class. The visa office only concern that. Only visit them is not enough, strong reason

Are your parents going? If not, they probably won't consider it. You should provide your own bank statement.

Well I’ve worked for another department processing EI claims
Taxpayer had 599 hrs worked
Needed 600 hrs to get benefits
Claim denied

It’s the government bud

Adding you’re a med student ? Hope you’ll be more “ nit picky “ with your patients

Yes adding I'm a med student meaning I can't transfer to any school there in my field... no need to take my "nit picky" comment too personal bud and using it back in a miserably meaningless way...
