stuck in visa limbo: work permit delay

Hi all,

I'm seriously sweating over here! Applied for a LMIA-exempt work permit in China on Apr 9th, knocked out the biometrics and medical exams that same month, then...crickets. Been radio silence ever since. GCMS note last month said no security checking (phew), but info sharing in progress (whatever that means). Back when I applied the processing timeframe was 15 weeks. Then jumped to 25 weeks. Now it's back down to 12 weeks. But here I am at 23 weeks and counting. Fired off a bunch of webforms, keep getting the same 'your case is finalizing' response, and nothing seems finalized yet.

Anyone been through this? Any idea what's going on or how much longer I might be stuck in? Thanks for any insights!

Applications from China unfortunately tend to take a very long time due to challenges with background checks and challenges with information sharing. There's really nothing you can do but wait.
