Hi everyone. Need some opinions/advice.

My fiancee got denied earlier this year for a TRV even though she had strong reasons to leave Canada due to her finishing her studies overseas (girlfriend at that time). We are getting married at the end of the year, and I will be applying for spousal sponsorship application shortly after. I understand that once the sponsorship application is in, I can have her re apply for a TRV, which will have a higher success rate. However, this won't be till at least 6 to 8 months from now and it would be easier if she can come to canada to visit as oppose to me travelling to her country due to the nature of my job. Recently, I found out that if she is able to get a US visa, she can apply for an eTA. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is this a viable option to get her to visit me in canada sooner before the sponsorship application has been submittrd OR while the sponsorship application is in process? Also, does her previous denial of her TRV have any bearing on getting an eTA? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Get a GCMS notes for her. While you think finishing studies was a strong reason to leave Canada, they might think that the study itself has low prospect.
