Sure, we've heard of these.

IRCC / CBSA review the fraud report and determine if there is sufficient evidence to investigate. If there is, they investigate. If they determine there is enough evidence to indicate that fraud has happened, they give that person a chance to provide evidence / explain the situation. They then assess this further information to determine if any action will be taken against that person or persons. This entire process can take some time.

The person who submitted the fraud report does not receive any sort of status reports or updates for privacy reasons.

No one can tell you when they will start the investigation. This information is not publicly available.

Anyone who is involved and connected to the under-reported company could be impacted.

If you obtain a PR and IRCC / CBSA later determines there was fraud, they can move to revoke PR after the fact.

I see, immigration fraud is the biggest issue these days, that's why I am concerned so much about it. ones IRCC/CBSA received the report. Are they able to stop processing workers's applications? I am almost done with my PR application already in PR Portal2. I worry about my application and what happens will be going on.

Did you commit fraud? If so your status could be revoked even after citizenship. Just don’t commit fraud and you’l have nothing to worry about.

Hi Scylla,
I informed CBSA of a women who submitted fake work experience documents to enter Canada and purchased LMIA illegally by paying 35000 dollars cash in January 2024. I submitted hundreds of proofs like pictures, chats, emails, bank account details. But CBSA has not done anything so far. I have asked cbsa to contact me for any more clarification. But they have not issued even pfl. I dont know whether these guys work atall or not? Is this normal in your experience? Does it take many months/years even if we submit concrete proof to cbsa?.
Thanks

You do not know what CBSA is or is not doing. You are guessing. It is very possible they have started an investigation.

Yes, it is normal for it to take this long.

CBSA will not notify you of status or update you in any way on progress. This is due to privacy laws.

Hi Scylla,
Thanks for your response. The allegations I have put I know is 100% correct. I have submitted hundreds of proofs also. Is it possible that they would ignore those proofs or pictures which I have submitted?
Actually they r planning to do more fraud in future that us why i am bit worried.

CBSA has an internal process for managing this. I don't know exactly how that process works and can't comment further.

Ok thanks.
There are 2 steps to this or maybe 3 in some cases.

Step 1 - Report the Fraud. Provide as much information as you can.

You should

  • call the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Border Watch Toll-Free Line at 1‑888-502-9060 (available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET)
  • report the immigration fraud online using the CBSA’s secure web form
Step 2 - Let the authorities take it from there. They will reach out if they need more information. There is no timeline and they may not let you know what happened so Move On.

Step 3 - If you can't help but keep thinking about it and keep posting stupidly on forums, you need to get a life.

Good luck.

Regardless of what you've supplied, you'll never know what they are or aren't doing....that's just the way it is.

These type of forums are meant to discuss, share and express our experiences, our questions, our doubts and even our dissapointments. I very politely posted my question and scylla very respectfully answered my question. I also said thanks to scylla. But you out of nowhere are saying that I posted this stupidly. Now let me tell you something. People like you can never engage in creative discussions. You only know how to critize others. You have nothing left in the right side of your brain. And you have nothing right in the left side of your brain. Go learn manners and good behaviour before coming on these type of forums. People like you are like a disease for the society.
I have to use harsh words because you wrote bad words for me.
