I am helping my dad to renew his PR through the online portal system.
My dad became a PR back in January 26, 2006 - he's been renewing through an agency before but this time, we are trying on our own.
For 1.4 question: Date you became a PR in Canada I am assuming this is the date when my dad FIRST became PR (so Jan 26, 2006).
The last renewal PR card was received back in May 2019 with an expiry date of Feb 05, 2025.
Since receiving the card, this is his travel history:
-prior to Oct 23, 2019 was living in another country
-came back to Canada on Oct 23, 2019 until May 1, 2020
-lived in another country from May 2, 2020 - May 20, 2022
-came back to Canada on May 20, 2022 and has been living here since then and does not plan to leave anymore
However, when I am filling out his work and time spent outside of Canada section, it won't let me save and continue. An error message also shows "Please leave no gaps in your address and work/school history". What am I doing wrong?
In addition for 5.5 question: Time Spent Outside Canada - when I try to fill it, there is a warning sign "Please review the date you entered in response to “1.4 Date you became a PR in Canada” on page 1 of this form. This date must be accurate before proceeding with the rest of the form."
Can someone please help me?
I really want to complete the form and submit it as we have less than 6 months left but I am unsure how to proceed.
