ECA is about to expire while processing PR application

Hello!
I got ITA under CEC and now preparing to apply for the PR. I did ECA for my Bachelor with WES in Aug 2015 and it is going to expire in Aug 2020. Should the ECA be valid on the date of application or on the date the application is processed by the officer? In different words, should I renew my ECA before applying for the PR?

ECA should be valid on the day of your application. Then this date is locked.
