JVA Application

I am wondering if JVA is the same as LMIA and what the process is for an employer in New Foundland to hire someone who wants to apply under NLPNP.

I am not eligible to apply under the AIPP program hence I have to apply under PNP only. I have had an employer interested in hiring me. The employer is designated but has not hired anyone under PNP process. I have been asked to ask my employer to contact the closest LMDO office for JVA application process.

I am not sure how much work is involved for the employer. Is it just a one time going to the office and submitting the application or is it a continuous hassle? I had told my employer that I would bear all the costs and legwork of the process but not sure how much is involved other than advertising in the local papers for the position to be filled.

Does anyone know a step by step process for this and can I do this on the employer's behalf? Any advice will be appreciated.
