Need help to understand if my exp is valid for CEC (just received an ITA)

Hi there,

I was just invited to apply under the CEC program. I have accumulated 1,880 hours of full-time work in Canada, but there’s a caveat: 360 of these hours were paid but not worked (I was laid off but remained on the payroll for about two months). This leaves me with 1,520 hours of actual work experience and 360 hours where I was paid but not performing any duties.


Given this situation, am I still eligible for CEC? I was technically still part of the company.

Do you have 52 separate weeks with at least 30 hours of paid work experience?

yes, but like I said, in some of them I wasn't actually performing the duties (although I was still being paid).
