Who is eligible for faster processing
Workers hired under the Innovation Stream
You may be eligible for faster processing, if you’re a worker being hired under the Innovation Stream and your job is classified under Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) category 0 or 1 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system.
Find out more about the Innovation Stream.
There are 2 ways you can be eligible for 2-week processing of your work permit application, depending on if you need a labour market impact assessment (LMIA).
If you don’t need an LMIA (LMIA-exempt)
If you don’t need an LMIA, you may be eligible for 2-week processing if you meet all of these requirements:
  • You’re applying from outside Canada.
  • Your job is classified under Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) category 0 or 1 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system.
  • Your employer has submitted an offer of employment using the Employer Portal and paid the employer compliance fee.
so these are not for all work permit applicants ??
I am applying from outside Canada, NOC31100 TEER 1, employer has paid the compliance fee through the portal,
still am I not eligible for faster processing???

This is for the Innovation Stream where only 8 employers are eligible. Click on the link you posted. How are you LMIA exempt? Just face that you are not eligible for 2 week processing given your timelines. Don’t know why government has this still posted because maybe 1% are processed within 2 weeks.

I don’t think you are under GSS but IMP, if you are LMIA exempt.

Since you applied in May, and processing is around 20 weeks then you should receive response around October or before.
So they won't count from the date of my first application which was on April 10th ?

Hello, there is an update on my application (Primary applicant)
Latest update Sep 4 2024, Final decision September 4, 2024:your application is in progress. we will send you a message once the final decision has been made
In my message section I received only correspondence letter for biometrics
Whereas, my dependent's applications has been approved and received request for passport along with biometric correspondence letter
How long will it take from here for my application approval?
Should we send the dependent's PPs first for stamping or should I wait and submit all the PPs together? cos the validity of letter is only 30 days
I am confused could you please help me out...???
