Hello All,

I am on a closed work permit and have a job offer from my current employer as well. What should i answer for question:

Is job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?

Its little confusing, since my current employer name is on my work permit but there is no detail about any job offer on work permit mentioned. Please help !

Regards

"but there is no detail about any job offer on work permit mentioned"
Details of a job offer on your work permit?? Your question is not clear.
Actually, my employer name is on my work permit but there is no mention on the work permit that my employer would offer me a job for PR purpose. Even though they are willing to provide a separate job offer letter.

I am kind of little confused what this question means 'Is job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?'. I have read multiple threads but still confused..

There is NEVER a comment on the work permit that your employer intends to make you a job offer. The question asks whether the employer making the job offer is the same as the employer named on your work permit. For example, on your work permit, it says you work for Company A. You have a job offer. The Job Offer is also from Company A. In this case, the answer is yes. If the job offer is from Company B, the answer would be No.

Hi there,

I am in a similar situation but slight difference.

I have been working for my current employer for 3 years on PGWP (open work permit). The same employer is supporting me through LMIA, as my open work permit has expired. I am currently working on a work permit extension based on applied status, which allows me to work on the same conditions as my open work permit (waiting for decision on the closed work permit with the positive LMIA).

Thus should my answer be YES or NO for the question:

Is ---------'s job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the answer.

2 more questions that I had were, considering I have been working for my current employer for 3 years on PGWP (open work permit). The same employer is supporting me through LMIA, as my open work permit has expired. I am currently working on a work permit extension based on applied status, which allows me to work on the same conditions as my open work permit (waiting for decision on the closed work permit with the positive LMIA).

1. Has ------- been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year? (Or for an equal amount of part time work?)

and

2. Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit?

I am guessing it's a NO for the 2nd question one, but just wanted to check with someone that know better.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the answer. I saw on a different thread that if I answer NO to the question "Has ------ been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year?"

I wont be eligible for the 50 points. Do you have any knowledge about that.

Thank you
