Proof of funds - Canadian account

Hi,

I'm inviting my friend to visit me from UAE and I'm a permanent resident here in Canada.
Is it okay to show my own bank account statement as proof of funds?

Also, do I have to get the statement stamped by the bank authority or will that not be required?

Your funds are not really relevant. Friend shows their own bank statements to show they can afford to visit. You can include a letter of invitation and can include your funds but IRCC may not even consider them.

People are refused for less than $10k in cash so factor in cost of trip/airfare without using all funds. Biggest issue is that person is probably citizen of another country so has to show strong ties to return as well as long term immigration status.
