CAN WE RESTORE TO VISITOR FROM WORK PERMIT ?

Hello all,
My friend got a work permit extension refusal. They are within restoration period. Can they apply for Visitor record directly?

They have been offered an LMIA, currently under process.

Thanks for the quick response. It was 20 days ago. I’m sorry I forgot to mention, we are confused as we read the following on IRCC Website :
“A foreign national can only apply to restore their status and authorization to one they held immediately prior to the loss of status.”

They were on a Work Permit Immediately before extension refusal.

Do we apply through GC Key account ?
