Hi, can anyone answer this?If I have international experience outside Canada, does anyone know what I have to answer for the question:
"Do you confirm that this competency demonstrated your ability to work at a professional level in a Canadian context?"
What did you study to pass the exam?Application submitted: 11 Jan, 2024
Admin Assigned: 25 Jan, 2024
Application went to review stage: 1 Mar, 2024 (My validators were slow to complete the forms)
Academic Review Completed: 22 Mar, 2024
Experience Review 1: Completed 12 April 2024
Experience Review 2: In Progress
NPPE Exam Scheduled: June exam Passed
Still waiting on the Experience Review #2 to complete and APEGA is on Summer break.
Is the above timeline typical for international Electrical Engineering applicants?
Hard to say. It could be around 13-Sept or end of the month. My case was June -2024 and I received the email on 18-June- deferred (6 competencies didn't meet the requirements). I have reapplied, and my application status is "exp examiner - in progress". Good luckHello, I have applied for my P.eng application and currently the status shows : case to board - sept 2024. When can I expect the decision? I am tensed.
Someone said in previous post that it should be "Yes".Hi, can anyone answer this?
For experience outside Canada, will the answer be No or Yes?
I think it is. Usually when the application moves quickly is good. In my case, it took 7months as they told me that those 6 competencies were insufficient to pass the requirements. I passed the NPPE on Nov-2022 and the FE on Sep-2023. I have my EiT since 2023. So just waiting to have those competencies right this time@NaiveWater930 Thank you for replying. How do they decide on competency requirements? I mean they are filled out by the supervisors. Also, I have a masters degree with around 5 years of exp in Canada and I have been an EIT since 2017. After I submitted my application, it went through case to board smoothly. Is that a good sign? just curious.
when did you apply?Hello, I have applied for my P.eng application and currently the status shows : case to board - sept 2024. When can I expect the decision? I am tensed.
thanks for answer@respect72 I had applied somewhere in July. Around July 20th, my application was sent to the review stages. Now the current status is - case to board sept 2024.
thanks for answer
