My family mmember has a PR card expiring in November , as well as a US visa (issued in the home country) expiring next July.
He needs to stay in Canada long term to meet the RO, but also need to prepare to leave Canada in case of emergency back home and come back via US boarder.
Which option will have a better chance to get the US visa renewed successfully:
a) Renew now in Canada while PR card is still valid, or
b) Renew in the home country when going back there in the future?
He meets the interview waiver requirements in both countries.
Thanks for your advice!
