Dear All,

I need a help in choosing the correct NOC for my job duties performed. i have completed my civil engineering and working as planning engineer from the start of my career,
But the role and responsibility which is mention under noc 2131 Civil engineer is different from the job description which i am performing now.

if i choose the NOC 2131 Civil engineer whether they will reject my application as the JD doesnt not match with NOC 2131.

Kindly suggest which option would be best for me .

Thanks well in advance.

NOC should be chosen based on the duties performed and not the education status. There are many civil engineers who are actually in shortwave development. They will choose NOC related to software developer and not civil engineer. Similarly choose a NOC which reflects your work and not education.

ITA is dependent on many things especially education and language scores. For EE as long as your NOC is in A, B or A, it doesn't matter the number. So if your eligible and have a good CRS score (468+), you will get an ITA.

Hello, I have the same situation here as you guys. I am currently working as a Planning Engineer, most of my duties and responsibilities are matching with NOC 0711. However, in the job title examples its all managers. What should I do?

You don’t match your job title. You match your job duties to the NOC. So if 70010 matches then that is your NOC. Forget about your title.
