I am Canadian. My marriage is only registered in my wife’s country where we lived until a couple of years ago. I recently resettled in Canada and I hope to sponsor my wife and children(if req) so that we may be reunited.

If you are knowledgeable on the process that goes on, or if you have ever sponsored a foreign spouse, any help is welcome.

Q1: what are the steps of the process from application to being accepted?
Q2: As my wife’s sponsor is there any action needed to make the application process as smooth as possible?
Q3: Are there any forms, applications or other actions my wife can do as the person being sponsored?

This being citizenship forum you might not get the required answer. Your wife needs to get her PR first. So PR forum would be ideal place for you to post.

Do your children already have Canadian passports? If so, no need to sponsor them.
