Thanks for your response, so the number of family will be 2 right, cos am sponsoring just one parent, my mom, and another question is will I fill out the principal applicant details or my details on the GCKey link form?

Congratulations

could you please let me know the expiry date mentioned in the counterfoil as well as COPR? I would love to know if it is the same as medical expiry date or they have given only 6 months validity to land in Canada.

Appreciate your response in advance.

No need to submit passport when applicant is already in canada. My mother is in canada, so we never submitted passport.

My mom came in Canada (visit) after I got Passport request. I did mail passport to Ottawa while she is in Canada, no movement its almost 4 weeks tomorrow.

The expiry date for the visa to land and the copr are the same I.E the date when your medical expires.
Hope it answers your query Sampri and Ali :)
In a recent case, the parents medical was expiring in April 2025 but their VISA/COPR validity was given January 2025.

Any Parents or Grand Parents going to Manitoba for the first time? I notice that now for Manitoba Health their website states "If you are moving to or returning to Manitoba from outside of Canada, coverage eligibility is based on proof of your legal status in Canada and your residence in Manitoba. Canadian citizens and permanent residents may apply for coverage from the date of arrival in Manitoba. When you apply, you will need to provide a copy of your passport and all Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada documents which have been issued to you and your spouse and minor children (under 18 years). You will also need to provide proof of your residence in Manitoba."

I remember before that it was "You are eligible for coverage on your date of arrival in Manitoba when proof of Permanent Resident Status is provided".

I called and they say might two week to the Health Card, do I have to get a private health coverage while waiting?
I hope someone from this forums are form Manitoba and can share their experience. Thanks
You don’t have to wait. Go to the office in Winnipeg and apply for it. You get it faster that way when you go in person.
