I want to apply for my mum to come to canada to help me after childbirth, i am married and i have a toddler both myself and my spouse have full time employment.
1) should i state in the letter of invitation that my mum is coming to support after childbirth
2) my mum is retired does she need to show proof of income?

1) Yes that is normal , should be fine
2) Bank account details under her name that shows she can support herself

1. No. She is coming to visit you and your grandchildren. Support may be construed as work to IRCC. Your letter can say she is staying with you to meet her grandchild.
2. Yes. She needs to show cash in the bank to support length of visit.
