Hello everyone,

I submitted my application on Dec 1, 2023. I received the Medical exam request and pre-arrival 2 weeks ago. My mom resides in Canada with me.

This afternoon, July 18, I received an email to request for: picture of passport and police certificate, but the deadline is July 23, 2024, only 5 days including weekend. Does anyone has the same situation? It's not possible to obtain police certificate in 5 days and get notarized outside Canada.

HI,,,My sibiling are over the age of 40 and both maried. Are they still dependent? I'm filling the parent's and grand parent application. Do I need to specify them?

Also, I'm Canadian Citizen and do I need to put my self in the dependent section when filling the Im0008 form?

I just received an email from CIC about super visa. In the email they are saying while your application for sponsorship is in process you are eligible for parents super visa. Just wondering if anyone else received this email before.

Yes I did too. Mum already has a super visa. It doesn’t mean anything in particular to your application. It’s a generic mesage

Hi. I am trying to sponsor 1 parent but my income on the 2nd year didn’t qualify. However, my co signer( spouse) is presently working (1/2 year) and has earnings sufficient enough to cover for sponsoring one parent. Will I still be eligible to sponsor? Can I still continue? Tnx

The income being assessed is for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. The current income situation in 2024 is irrelevant. As the preceding 3years are what is used for eligibility.

None of you are dependents.

I have submitted available mark sheets and surrender passport's scanned copy where father name has mentioned after first name. In the letter of explanation I have mentioned that I do not have marksheet available and from ration card my wife's name has been cancelled after marriage so we can not provide that.

They have accepted these documents and did not ask any further documents. After that I received AOR, Biometric, Medical and Pre-arrival service letter. Waiting for PCC request and rest of things.

Hello all! Looking for some input - I've sent a PCC request through BLS (Indian PCC), and I would also need one from Kenya since my mum resided there for the last 30 years. I looked through the website and it says I would need to mail the documents out and the PCC for Kenya could take about 3 months. I need to submit the documents by Aug 7th. What can I send to IRCC as I wait for the PCCs from both India and Kenya? Had I known the process is going to be this long, I would have applied sooner, but also did not know IRCC has been processing applications quickly

YOU CAN ASK FOR EXTENSION. ALSO ATTACH ANY PROOF WHICH SHOWS KENYA TAKES 3 MONTHS FOR PCC. YOU WILL BE GIVEN EXTENSION.
