Waiting on AOR but lost status

Hello All, my inland spousal sponsorship was submitted May 16, 2024. As of today July 17th I haven’t received the AOR for my application…as I need it to apply for my SOWP. My spouse is a citizen and we received the confirmation that our application has been received but nothing else.
My PGWP expired a month ago, but I do still have a valid visitors visa, do I have to restore my status before i apply for my SOWP once I receive the AOR?

You are out of status unless you applied for a visitor record before your PGWP expired. Assuming you did not apply for a visitor record, yes, you have to apply to restore your status.
