Help : Married in india & divorce in Canada, spousal Sponsorship

Hi, I need help. I applied under spousal sponsorship for my wife. I completed my 5 years spousal sponsorship ban. However I was married to my ex wife in India and obtained divorce in Canada (Both had Canada PR at that time and physically present in Canada). I got married to my current wife in India and issued new marriage certificate. For spousal sponsorship of my new wife, Regarding divorce documents, I provided divorce certificate which was issued in Canada. I provided no other document regarding divorce. My question is - Will my file be rejected or will I be required to provide Divorce doc from India (I do not have any).

Thank you for quick response. By any chance you know if someone went through similar process of mine and was success. Probably I might have missed the thread.

Also I’m still Canada PR. My first and second marriage certificate is from India. But the first divorce cert is from Canada. For second spousal sponsorship, do IRCC need divorce from India too ? Will my PR status make any difference for divorce doc requirements. I read somewhere that person holding canada citizenship would not require Indian divorce. Not sure how true is this.

did you face any issue getting new marriage certificate?

Can't you get married in Canada (marriage registered in Canada) and then get your wedding reception/ ceremony done in India instead?

A forum about Canadian immigration is not likely to have the answer you're looking for.

The issue is recognition of foreign divorce in India - if you wish to get married again in India. Search for that. My understanding is it's complicated and you may need a lawyer - in India, not here - to get it recognized there.

It may be easier to get (re)married in Canada down the road. A Canadian divorce will be recognized in Canada without additional paperwork.

Didn't you read PO's post? So OP can get it done. But how and what extra process/document he went through, we don't know.
As responded, it's a question for India recognizing foreign divorce certificates.
