Changing DLI from one province to another when your study permit restricts you in one province -PANICKED

Hi, got accepted in masters program in Dalhousie university and the study permit doesn’t mention any institution name rather says DLI-Nova Scotia.
Now got another admission offer in Victoria, BC. planning to attend there instead of DAL.
But can I change DLI to another province when my Study permit restricts me in Nova Scotia only. Can I do it in such short time?

If your study permit for DAL is approved then you need a new study permit. You cannot chance schools unless you plan on going to DAL for at least a semester. Then you can change schools.

Thanks, but I don’t intend to attend DAL rather go to UVic. My Understanding right now is, I cannot change to a DLI from BC since my SP restricts it to Nova Scotia…can I just notify IRCC online through my account that I am attending uvic and initiate the process

You need to apply for a new study permit. You cannot change DLI.

If your application has been approved
If your application for a study permit has been approved and you change your DLI, you must submit a new study permit application with a new letter of acceptance. You must also pay all the fees for the new application.

You can attempt to flagpole but no guarantees.

You may be able to get a new study permit.

Not sure whether they would change the study permit DLI ….but it’s an interesting input…time is limited, so I would keep that option in mind
