Additional Document Request

hello all,

My friend has recieved additional document request just now, the request says to submit :

1. Pay stubs, income tax statements from 2011 to 2018

2. Bank statements from 2013 to 2018 showing salary deposits.

We do not know how to dig out for 7 years old documents. Especially pay stubs and bank statements. We are trying to gather as much documents as possible.

Lets say we gather it and the document will be of atleast 200 pages as 7 years pay stubs are equivalent to 84 pages.( 12 pay stubs per year) and then bank statements for 6 years.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

You should have no issues getting the bank statements and income tax statements.

For the pay stubs, do the best you can. Can't you get those from HR?

I also used to work at same place before coming to Canada. They do not provide official paystubs. They provide unofficial payslips on the employee portal and they are also there only for one year. They can be printed on plain paper and accounting head can sign and stanp on it but no letterhead is used for this. On letteehead they can just mention current salary details which is already submitted with application.

Your friend has no choice but to submit everything he can get. Even if he can't get the paystubs, the bank statements will show the deposits, and the IT returns will also show his employment status.

Tell him to gather what he can and write a letter explaining the reasons why he can't get anything else. At the very least he should be able to give the bank statements and the IT returns along with a year or two of paystubs.

We are trying to get all documents. Hopefully we get all. No problem in submitting anything they ask. Everything was true in application.

We have gathered what ever we could and submitted all the documents. We have also got pay slips for all years they asked for but they are on plain paper and not signed and stamped by anyone. To support this we have attached the printout of e-mail communication done with HR representative in which we asked stamping and signing of the pay-slips but they gave very diplomatic reply that we have provided you the pay slips (computer generated).

Also, in the tax documents for the year 2011-2012 there is mistake in the name ( His name on all documents is XXX but on that document it is XXX YYY) which my friend did not noticed at that time but it has the same PAN number ( which is mandatory to file taxes in India) on all income tax documents. and yes, we are missing income tax documents for the financial year 2012-2013 as he did not filed the tax return for that year as his income was lower than minimum taxable income due to a break in employment which was mentioned in personal history.

The bank statements for all the work experiences declared in application were attached showing salary credits every month and we highlighted the salary credit transactions.

We have written an explanation for the above lapses. I hope everything will be fine.

The documents were submitted in 3 parts (due to large file size). Two parts were submitted via CSE but we have not even got any automated response from CIC about receiving the submitted queries.

Sounds like you have done everything you can. The rest is up to IRCC. Since you know there's nothing more you could have done, just relax and wait to see what they have to say.

We provided all the documents as required.

1. You should have income tax documents if you filed income tax for your earnings.
2. You can bank to provide statements for all previous years. The bank can not and will not deny. Just show them the IRCC letter.

The only solution is to do your best to submit the requested documents. If you can't do that, send a letter of explanation what exactly you did to get them (the documents) and why you failed.
