2024 Parents Sponsorship Application - 3 years income question

Hello everyone,

I received invitation to sponsor parents for 2024 intake, our combined income is enough for 2021, 2022 and 2023. But this year I have taken time off from work and definitely wont meet income requirement for 2024.

My question is, if processing time is 24 months, will they check my income for 2024 or they will only stick to 2021, 2022 and 2023? Please help!

It is possible.

Do I (the sponsor) have to continue to meet the income requirements during the processing of the application?
If new information indicates that you may no longer meet the income requirements, your income may be reassessed at any time during processing. Your income could also be reassessed if more than 12 months have passed between the dates since we received your application and when processing of the application begins.

Well, you submitted interest to sponsor form in 2020. And you have seen/noticed that IRCC had been drawing the lottery from 2020 pool. So your decision to take time off in 2024 is a conscious decision to give up to sponsor your parents.
You need to continue to meet your income requirement. So it's only JULY, you still have time to find/get back to work in order to meet the income requirement. You will need to meet the requirement until the PGP application is approved.
IRCC can and we did see cases request for update of sponsor's current income. And if you are current not working, you cannot lie in the application. You need to list the correct period of your work. (if you have already quit)

It’s July, if your goal is to sponsor your parents (you may not get another opportunity) both you and your spouse need to start working and taking on second jobs if necessary. PGP is such a huge privilege so it would be crazy to waste this opportunity.

I don't think it has been posted yet. It's typically a few thousands more than the previous year.
