Regarding birth certificate

hi, i have recently received an invite for express entry under the latest healthcare worker draw. i was looking around to see what all documents are necessary and apparently the birth certificate is required as well. i do have an old birth certificate but it does not have my name in it. will i have to undergo the tedious process of getting my name added to it?

You mean that your name as a father is not mentioned on the birth certificate?

If you can't obtain a new one with your name, submit it as is and do you your best to get a new one. Add a letter of explanation and inform that you are in the process of obtaining a required certificate, provide any proofs of that if you can.

no im never married/single. my birth certificate is from 1997, when they didn't use to add name in them.
