Hello, I put in an application to renew my TRV from India on the 10th of May. The processing time was 32 days then, and now it is 44 days. The processing time for my application has passed, and I have filled the webform. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from them? Also, if anyone else is extending their TRV from India, it would be great if you could share your timelines. Thanks!

No such thing as renewal/extension. You applied for a new TRV. If you just asked about status in your webform then you may not get any response except generic reply. Webforms usually will have some response after 30 days if you submitted new documentation. Processing timelines are an estimate when most not all are processed.

I have not added any new documentation, but I am just waiting for it to process through. The current processing time is 44 days, and my application has been submitted for 50 days now. I read that I must submit a webform if my application passes the processing time. Is there any way to get an update on my application here in India since that is where I am applying from?

I also just wanted to add that I renewed my study permit while I was in Canada. Is it a problem if I'm extending my TRV from outside Canada i.e. India? Thank you so much for your help!

Processing is an estimate. You can submit a webform but all you can do is wait. Has your application completed eligibility and background checks?

Eligibility and background checks are in process; I do not need a medical exam, interview, additional documents, or biometrics.

So in process. Not much to do but wait.
Hey! It has been 64 days since I submitted my application, and I have received only two communications, which are 1) Completion of online application transmission and 2) submission completion. The following are the details that I have currently:
1) eligibility - under review
2) review of medical results - I don't need one, but they'll inform me if that changes
3) review of additional documents - They do not need additional documents.
4)Interview - I don't need one, but they'll inform me if that changes
5) Biometrics - they do not need your fingerprints, but they'll inform me if that changes
6) Background check - is still being processed. They'll inform me if that changes

I have already raised 2 web form queries since the processing time shows 51 days, but it's been 64 days with no communication. A few people have been suggesting that I withdraw my application and reapply but I'm worried that I have waited this long and might be closer to receiving an update. As I mentioned earlier, I extended my study permit in Canada but applied for TRV from India using gc key. Is it possible that I could have done something wrong or not applied correctly? I have submitted all forms correctly and provided all proper documents.

Would not reapply because then your application starts from the beginning. If you applied for a TRV then you did the right thing.

Has study permit extension been approved? If not when does study permit expire?

Yes, I applied for TRV through GC Key. I already received my extended study permit in April and applied for my TRV using the extended study permit. I'm just worried because I haven't even received a confirmation stating that my biometrics have been attached, and it's been over 2 months.

Call IRCC through VPN and find out what is going on. Processing is long right now and your application is in the queue like everyone else.
