I made a mistake in the Reason Description Text field on the Travel to another country during an absence. I found out after submitting my application recently.

I haven't received an AOR.

When typing out travel to another country during an absence I unnecessarily mentioned the dates. One date is in September 2020 and the other is in October 2021. This is incorrect I realize after submission. Both years I should have typed correctly, 2020. The same entry for absence shows that I returned to Canada earlier in 2021.

I am panicking right now because I don't know how it will impact my application. I do I go about fixing this text field or telling IRCC that this text field is an error? How badly screwed am I?

The passport scan I have submitted has the entry-exit stamps from the country both in 2020, Sept and Oct respectively.

From what I am reading I will have to submit a Correction through Webform after I receive the AOR.

Once you get an AoR for your application you can contact IRCC via the webform and include a Letter of Explanation (LoE)
As long as you have sufficient days to complete 1095 irrespective of the above you should not worry

Thank you Abbas for your confidence instilling reply.

I believe the entry-exit records at the Canadian Border would also validate that I have complete days inside Canada for eligibility.

The stamps on my Passport also show entry and exit with the actual dates.

I would love to know if the Letter of Explanation has a particular format and which section of the Webform I need to use to submit this connection.

Nop just address it to IRCC and explain the issue at hand in simple language
