I have been offered a postdoctoral position and my research field is geochemistry. I would like to know which NOC I should use for my visa application.
NOC-21102 is the closest match for me. However, it mentions in the job requirements that "Registration with a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers, geologists, geophysicists or geoscientists is usually required for employment and is mandatory to practice in all provinces and territories except Prince Edward Island and the Yukon."
I want to know what does this mean? I have a PhD degree in Geology. Will this be enough?

NOC for postdoctoral is 41200. For postdoc, you will not register for any other activities and will work for the institute that signs your contract.

Hi thank you.
My offer letter is mentioning the NOC code as 21102. Will this be a problem in this case?

I should write this more clearly. My offer letter mentions my NOC as 21102 which is for Geoscientists and oceanographers. But when I checked this online I saw that the job requirement mentions the registration related things that I mentioned earlier. So I got a little worries about this. I want to know what this means. Am I eligible or should I contact my host university?

You should contact your host university. I am quite sure about NOC. I also used NOC 41200 in my application and our university did all the paperwork with NOC 41200.
