I know this question has been asked a few times before, but with the new rule changes to flagpole centres, I was wondering where would the closest centre be for someone in Edmonton? I applied like two months ago and I still haven't received my WP-EXT letter. It was fine until a potential employer said that a Work Permit was mandatory.

Head on the # 2 south to Lethbridge, hook up to the # 4 south
Or stay on the # 2 till you hit Caraway

Coutts is your best bet. It's a 24 hr crossing and the guys especially late at night are pretty chill to deal with. I haven't personally flagpoled or requested immigration service other than crossing but it does get busy in Summer. I once crossed at 2am and it was dead, another time it was 12pm and we waited quite a bit. Definitely avoid weekends though, specifically holiday weekends.
