Internship work permit required

Happy new year all
My husband and I holding visitor visa and passed all pharmacist licensing exams.
But to be fully licensed we need to complete our internship which require a work permit.
any recommendations how to get it and if we are eligible to open work permit.

1. You are going to have to find an employer who is willing to advertise the position, pay the $1000 fee, and demonstrate that no Canadians/PRs available or qualified for the position. Minimum of 3/4 months for processing and unlikely to be approved.

There is a surplus of pharmacists in most areas of Canada so getting an internship can be very hard. Getting good full-time pharmacy jobs are also hard to find and salaries have been decreasing for quite some time. The situation in Quebec has been a bit better because there aren’t huge numbers of French speaking pharmacists graduating and immigrating. Pharmacists with PR will likely be able to get internships easier than those who don’t.

You need a work permit. First step is to find an employer in Canada who will give you a job offer. Next step is for that employer to obtain an approved LMIA. Once the LMIA is approved, you then apply for a closed work permit.
