No, applied 1st December 2023. Still In process.Hello everyone, I'm curious to know if those who submitted their applications in December 2023 have received their final decisions yet.
No, only an intention to refuse for spouse French test which isn't required under old rules. Replied with a letter explaining that we were under old rules as we were in Quebec before the rules changed.I applied on Jan 9th 2024 and havent heard a word from MIFI. Have they at least requested you any additional docs?
Hi! I applied with the old rules too (before july 2020) and i still have no answer or whatsoever. I'm kinda worried after reading this to be honest. Do you know other people that were successful in their application using the old rules? No, only an intention to refuse for spouse French test which isn't required under old rules. Timeline:
1st Dec 2023 - Application submitted Arrima
8th Jan 2024 - Request for Democratic values test - completed same day
26th April 2024 - Intention to refuse - replied same day
16th May 2024 - Avis de verification
It is 6 months today so not sure if there is still request for interview coming after the Avis but that would put our application around 8-9 months if that happens.
Does anybody know of anyone who has waited longer than 6 months? Our application is quite straight forward under the old rules so nit sure what is happening.
No, I don't know anybody else unfortunately which is why I am stressing a little. Old rules are much more straight forward so don't understand what is taking too long.Hi! When did you apply?
Yes, I sent a letter of explanation and copy of the transitional measures from their website. I also sent bank statements and work permit to prove we were in Quebec before July 22nd 2020.I applied end of march so i have no news at all other than the democratic values exam.
Had you written an explained letter when applying that you are applying with the 2020 rules?
Well yea we needed to send the documents but the explanation letter did you send it un thr very beginning or after the intention of refuse?Yes, I sent a letter of explanation and copy of the transitional measures from their website. After the intention to refuse. I am thinking it may be that there was no spouse French results uploaded so the application was screened before processing started when it changed to En traitement and triggered the intention to refuse because no proof of spouse French. Who knows though.Well yea we needed to send the documents but the explanation letter did you send it un thr very beginning or after the intention of refuse?
Maybe. I actually put the explanation from the very beginning cuz i thought something like this might happen. But please keep me posted even in private dm if you want. Wishing you the best of luck and i will update you too in case i have any newsAfter the intention to refuse.
