IME number for medical test isn't active. What should i do ?

Hi everyone,
My spouse and I received Medical request letter IMM1017E on 29th Sept 2022. I was able to book an appointment but due to inactive IME# my spouse couldn't book an appointment. It has now been more than 8 days and we are worried that this might create problem. Medical Centre says we cant go for an upfront medical since we already have an IME number (inactive). They suggest contacting the embassy, which is of no use as they never respond to mails regarding immigration. I have raised multiple webforms and have been waiting for a response but in vain. I enquired and found that this kind of problem is rare. I also happen to talk to a person who suffered due to same problem and has been left hanging without response from IRCC for past 4 months.
Can someone please guide what i should do in such case ?

When did you receive your IME letter on portal? I am worried. How did u get it activated? Did u email or submit webform? If yes which one?
I got the letter 3 days back and it got auto activated today. I did not send any webform or any anything else as such. You too get it checked by any nearby medical panel may be its activated now.

ow did u check it is activated. My tracker account still does not show its number. What country are u from?
