Damaged Passport - Valid Visa

Hi, I recently got a new passport since my old one got water damaged. I have a valid study permit in my old one. Since I reissued a new passport, will I be allowed to travel with both my passports? If not please let me know how I can get a replacement study permit. I’m currently in India (Chennai) for vacation and need to go back to Canada on August 31st. Any help in details is immensely appreciated. Thank you.

I forgot to mention the visa page in old passport looks work out there seems to be no tears. But I still do have the study permit document they gave me once I landed in Canada
