I am an international student. During my application process, I submitted my documents to my agent on November, 2021. I was assured that he will submit the file in December 1st week of 2021. Then the rule came that students can work more than 20 hours if applied before December 7, 2021. However, my agent applied on 30th dec, 2021. I was thinking that as per my talk with agent, my file was placed in December 1st week. So I have worked for more than 20 hours for my 1.5 years of academic tenure. Now, when I got GC key details, I found that my application was submitted on 30th dec, 2021. Now I have completed my 4th semester and awaiting my transcript. Honestly, if I would have known the fact, I would not have worked more than 20 hours. But as everything happened in misunderstanding, I am wondering what should I do?

Does CIC look at hours precisely?
Does anyone got PGWP after mistakenly worked more than 20 hours?

So can anyone explain to me what should I do when I apply for PGWP?

My question is that, did you work while awaiting for a decision regarding your PGWP in applied status. I am in similar situation right now. I worked for 21 hours instead of 20 hours for only one week during my studies. Does this considered as illegal work I am planning to explain it in an loe about the situation. What will be your suggestion?

I worked during applied status. And you are on safe side. So dont worry. Such 1-2 hours doesn't cause an issue.
