AOR Received.

I got an OINP Employer Job Offer Stream - Foreign Workers nomination in February. I applied for Non-Express Entry PR in April. Based on current trends, it looks like the AOR is taking 4-5 months. My nomination has an expiry of 6 months, which is in August. If the AOR is delayed or any issue arises, how difficult is it to extend the nomination expiry to get more time to submit the documents? Please guide me, or is the nomination expiry irrelevant after applying for PR in Non-Express Entry?
Lock in period starts once you submit your application electronically. I received my AOR two months after my nomination "expired", which is also four months after I submitted my federal PR application online. Important thing is, you submit your application online before the nomination expiry date.

Good luck!

If you already applied for PR application before expiry date of nomination, you don’t need to extend your nomination. Also PNP office won’t extend unless your application is returned incomplete. If you applied for PR , don’t worry about expiration date .

Hi @Miss bee and others,

I need some clarification please. Today, I received the Portal 1 email and can see my COPR details on the IRCC tracker (with the background status is marked as completed, and eligibility is not started.). The Portal 1 email asks for our current presence, but I am currently outside Canada and plan to return during the first week of August. So, when I reply to the Portal 1 email (within 7 days of its receipt), I will mention these same facts (in the required template).

My question is: Could this extended stay outside Canada negatively impact my further PR process or cause further delays in Portal 2? I understand that once I return to Canada in the first week of August, I will again need to reply to the Portal 1 email to confirm my presence in Canada.

Thank you in advance.

You can’t extend this portal request. August is too far . You should provide them requested information and let them know that you are outside Canada and won’t be returning soon . Delaying them information can result in refusal of application or abandoned. If impossible to return reply to that email and tell them you want to proceed outside of Canada and will send passport to local visa office for stamping. For now just tell them that you are outside.

Hi everyone,

My PGWP expires in December 2024 and I applied for PR in March. Restricted employment.

Does anyone know if I can stay in the country and stop working if employer refuse to apply LMIA when my PGWP expires? Is there any legal way to stay?

Would it be possible to apply for visitor status to stay until PR get approved?

Thanks, @Miss bee. What I meant is that I will respond twice: once now (within 7 days) stating I am outside Canada amongst other information points, and again during the first week of August 2024 after I return to Canada. Do you still foresee any risks or negative impacts on further process due to my prolonged stay outside Canada?

Usually they don’t hold your application that long. Just reply to email and ask them to change your application to outside Canada.

Hello, I applied for BCpnp under non EE IPG stream on 29th March. I don’t have a job offer as it’s not a requirement for the stream I applied. I haven’t received any response yet. Neither has the status changed. It still says ‘Applied’.

It’s been exactly 2 months now. Should I email the bcpnp or wait for another month? Also, I’ll be going to Ontario for around 20 days and will be back to BC but still will be a tenant in BC and will keep paying the rent. Should I inform bcpnp about me going out of BC?

Thanks

Hello,

What are your thoughts on getting the medical exam done and submitted prior AOR. I got my Temporary File Number (TFN) from IRCC and was thinking to do medical upfront and submit it through webform using TFN. I have seen people saying it is better to submit medical upfront so that it saves time in processing. However, I have also read it is not recommended to do medical examination without IRCC requesting. I'm not sure what is the best way.

I haven't done any medical exams in past for IRCC.
Please provide your experience and expertise.

Thank you.

Hi,

I have submitted my Non express entry PR application and I am waiting for my AOR. Just wondering if myself and dependents have to do our Biometrics? We did our biometrics before entering Canada in 2019 for our TRV, do we have to do it again? I have the same question with the Medicals, do we have to do it again, even though we did it for the TRV. Please advise.

Yes, you will receive BIL for PR even you have a valid biometric for a temporary visa.
