I have my citizenship ceremony in a week and I just realized my health card is expired. I have my PR and a government ID from my original country with my picture and signature on it but that's it. I know they require a second ID, but I don't have a driver's license or a passport. I'm panicking because I was planning to travel soon due to an emergency, it's completely my fault that I didn't prepare for this. I've searched online and it looks like rescheduling can take up to several months, even more. Does anyone think they will let me take the oath with these IDs?

I don't see any problem with your IDs. They meet the definition so don't stress. I haven't had a health card in 15 years lol

2 pieces of personal identification (ID)
  • one piece of ID must have your photograph and signature, for example: driver’s licence, health card or permanent resident card
  • foreign ID documents must be government-issued, Canadian ones don’t need to be government-issued
All the best!
